Dighapatiarajbari (Uttara Ganobhaban) is located in a pleasant atmosphere, located in Uttara Ganobhaban, about 3 kilometers north of Natorshahar. Rani Bhabani of Natore was pleased with his naib daramar and presented him the Dighapatiya Pargana. In 1947, after the abolition of the zamindari system in 1947, the last raja of Dighapatiya, Prativanath Roy, left the palace and went to Calcutta in 1952. Later, the palace was abandoned until 1965.
In 1966, the East Pakistan government came under control and was reformed as a government building. In 1972 it was called Uttara Ganobhaban. Uttara Ganabhaban is situated on 41.51 acres of land, surrounded by beautiful lake, 12 large, artistic and spectacular buildings surrounded by high wall. Inside there are beautifully decorated gardens from Italy, where there are rare species of plants.
Dighapatiya dynasty has occupied a significant place among the king-zamindars of Bengal. Daraam Roy is the founder of this dynasty. In 1680, Daraam Roy was born in a Tili family of Natore's renowned village village. His father's name is Narsingh Roy. When Ramjivan, the founder of Natore dynasty, used to work under Darpanarayan, the ruler of Puthia, at that time he reached Kalam village of Chalanbali area. When Ramjivan was an ordinary employee under Pripathi king Darpanarayan Thakur, Daram used to earn his monthly 8-hour salary. Later, he qualified for a small amount of education, and Ramjivan appointed him a monthly salary of 5 rupees instead of monthly 8. Subsequently, the blessings of Raghunandan's brother-in-law, love and compassion, and the influence of Nawab's brother Raghunandan and the goodwill of the Nawab Dewan Murshid Quli Khan of Putha king Darparnarayan, when Ramjiban got zamindari, opened his fortune. Although he was a general employee of King Ramzin at first, he was with talent, skill and loyalty to Dewan of Natore Raj. Raja Ramjivan believed him very much and kept enormous wealth with him. After the fall of Raja Sitaram Rai, Daraam Ray became a powerful figure in Natore State.
When Jessore's King Sitaram Ray was a rebel, Nawab Murshid Quli Khan, with the help of Dewan Dayaram of Natore, repressed and defeated him and held him in Natore Jail. By defeating Sitaram Ray, the influence of the Nawab government increased and he became the title of "Rai Raiya". He looted precious assets by defeating Sitaram Ray. But the Goddess of Sitaram's house handed it to all Ramjiban without the image of Krishna. Ramjivan was happy to use Daimar to donate a single piece of land in Dighapatiya for the prize for setting up the statue of Krishna and to present the noakhila pargana in Chandanbisha area of Sariakandi of present-day Bogra district. This is the first zamindari of the Dighapatia dynasty. Later, he obtained Pargana Bhaturia Taraf Nandkuza, Mahal Kalna of Jessore and Taraf Selimpur of Pabna district. Thus, the establishment of the Dighapatia dynasty and zamindari was started in 1760.
