Location & Area:
Natore District adjacent to the Varendra Land of ancient tradition and archaeological Aishwarya. Natore district town is situated on both banks of the river Narad in 24.26 ° North Latitude and 89.9 Degree Longitude. Natore district has an area of 1,902.91 sq km. Lalmore is the warmest place in Bangladesh. Bogra and Naogaon districts on the north of Nato district, Pabna and Kushtia districts on Sirajganj and Pabna districts on the south, Rajshahi district on the west.
Agricultural climate
Natore district is located in the climate complex. Although warm and humid climate, this district is one of the most widespread areas of Bangladesh. At Ladhpur in the district, sometimes the maximum temperature is 40 degrees centigrade and the minimum temperature is 7 degrees centigrade in winter. Most of the rainfall is seasonal. The annual average rainfall of 2008 and 2009 is 1819 and 1657 mm respectively. Average relative humidity averages 90% (July-September) and average minimum is 71% (January-April).
Soil type
The sedimentary terrain in the area under the zodiacal terrestrial region. Most of the soil type is loop-clay loamy and it contains small amounts of organic matter.
