Natore Sugar Mills Ltd.

Natore Sugar Mills Ltd. is situated in Natore city near Natore Sadar Upazila. Heavy Mechanical Complex, Tekshila, Pakistan, was purchased in 1982 and started first production in 1984-1985. Its daily sugarcane crushing capacity is 1,500 metric tons and annual sugar production capacity is 15,000 metric tons.

There are 97.55 acres of land in factories and colonies and firm / sugarcane purchase centers. There are 1,084 officers, permanent and seasonal employees and workers working in Natore Sugar.

Around 53 thousand acres of cultivable land in the Mill Zone area. The only economic crop of the farmers of this region is due to cultivation of sufficient quantity in the area. There are 52 sugarcane buying centers in the Mill Zone area.

Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry Organization for the Digital Purposes Program has been awarded International "Marx" 2010 award.

North Bengal Sugar Mills Ltd.

North Bengal Sugar Mills Ltd. is located in Sadar Gopalpur of Lalpur upazila of Natore district. It is an ancient and traditional industrial establishment of sugar industry, established in 1933. At that time the ownership of the mill was private, whose owners were Messrs Surujmal and Nagrumal. Later in 1965 the mill came into state ownership. The old compound bought from Java has been increased from 1,200 metric tonnes per day to 1,500 metric tonnes per day, from the year 1984 to 1990. Presently, the annual production capacity of mill is 15,000 metric tons.

In the Mill Zone area, about 50,000 acres of cultivable land, and 35-40 thousand farmers. The only economic crop of the farmers of this area is due to the cultivation of sufficient good soil in the area. There are 8 own farms in the mill, which has a total area of ​​4,878 acres. Factories and residential areas; 4,959.62 acres of acres of land in the Mill's own purchase of 18 purchase centers and commercial farms.

North Bengal Sugar has 1,238 officers, permanent and seasonal employees and workers have approved posts, but now 970 workers are working in all. In order to facilitate the employees, there are 1 training complex, 1 secondary school, 5 clubs, 1 medical center and 601 housing in the area.

Last season, 34,000 metric tons of sugarcane supply was found from own farms. In the last tropical season, if the target of production of 19,125 metric tons of sugar is to be trimmed by 250,000 metric tons of sugarcane, it is possible to produce 19,963.70 metric tons of sugar by frying 265,312 ton of sugarcane.

From the time of Independence, Sugar Mill spent Tk. 10.48 crore for making road ghat, culverts in the Miljon area and contributing 42.87 lakhs in different educational institutions as part of funding socio-economic activities.

Jamuna Distillery Limited

Located near Natore Sugar Mills Ltd., situated near the city of Natore district, Jamuna Distillari Limited is located. The industrial firm mainly produces plain spirit by processing sugar mills (Molasses). In the technology of the People's Republic of China, China National Chemical Complex Corporation started commercial production since 1989.

The daily production capacity of Distillery, owned by Jamuna Group, is 10,000 liters. Because Natore has two Sugar Mills, due to the availability of raw materials it seems that the mill may have been installed here. Currently, 110 people are working.
