Hazrat Ghashi Dewan
His real name is not known. People know him as a ghazari dewan. His hideout was in Tikkhal area of Singan upazila. He was an unseen mahir or follower of Hadrat Barpi Abdul Kader Jilani (rah). Every year, the annual fairs are held on the Dargah of Ghasi Dewan at Dhiyar Bila in Tithi on the full moon day of Chaitra.
Kubir Chan Shah
Kubir Chan Shah came to this area to spread religion. He died here after preaching the religion. His mazar has been located at Babur Pukur Par Ekdala in sadar upazila of Natore.
Dewan Sagar
Dewan came to the country to spread the religion of the sea. Sadar Upazila's Dighapatia union's Govindapur village has its mazar bishamman.
In addition to the people mentioned earlier, among the sons of Natore, there are Kali Prasanna Roy, Ramkanta Roy, Rani Hemangini Devi, Mohit Kumar Maitra, Pramath Nath Bishi, Gajendranath Karmakar and Samar Pal.
Maharaja Jagadindranath Roy
Jagadindranath Roy was the son of Dauak, Brajasundari, wife of Gobindanath, the king of Nat Taro. His real name is Brunsham. On October 26, 1868, he was born in a prosperous poor Hindu family in village Harishpur in Natore. His father's name is Shinath Roy and mother's name is Pradnayamy Devi. The children of this generation have gradually replaced the history of Natore royal family as a wise-politician and social organizer. Jagadindranath took the office on 9th October 1889. His contributions to progressive spirit in British India in the anti-imperialist movement. He had special contributions in literature and culture. Among his notable books written by 'Nur Jahan', 'Shandhataara' is the main. Maharaj did journalism and did. He used to publish a magazine Manasi and edit a magazine. Apart from this, his translation has brought a huge stir in Bangladesh at one time with literature, travel stories, biography books, poems, songs and political articles. He was a social worker, a janajal and a true country patron. He was a pioneer in donation. His best Kirti established the Maharaja High School in Natore. In 1893, leaving Natore, he started living permanently in Calcutta. On December 26, 1925, he was seriously injured in the motor car crash and he left the world on January 05, 1926.
Maharani Bhabani
Ramzivan was the first king of Natore dynasty. Ramjivan's adopted son was named Ramakanta. Ramkanta was married to Bhavani, the only daughter of Swataram Choudhury, a resident of Chhatian village of Adamdighi under Bogra district. Bhabani was 15 years old at the time of marriage. Before the death of King Ramjivan in 1730, he appointed his dewan daram as the guardian of Ramkanta. Although Ramkanta was king, in reality, Dewan Dayar used to perform rajakariya. In 1748, Raja Ramkanta passed away. After the death of his husband, Alivardi Khan gave the responsibility of managing the zamindari of Rajshahi Chakla on Rani Bhabani. He conducted his zamindari with great merit and devotion.
He played a significant role in the spread of education. In his sense of money, many tolls were operated. For the benefit of the public, he has built many hats, markets and roads and excavated many lakes and ponds to prevent water scarcity. In the year 1802, at the age of 79, Queen Bhabani died in Baranagar Rajbari.
Poetry poet Ahsan Ali
Ahsan Ali was born in 1863 in village Lohachura of Raninagar upazila under Naogaon district. His full name was Ahsan Ali Khandakar. Ahsan Ali was considered a saintly man after achieving siddhis in spiritual practice. At the age of 45, he received the Guru-given caliphate. In 1915, he started living permanently in village Bajra of Singra upazila of the district. The influence of Lalon Shah and Pannu Shah in the writings of Ahsan Ali's many theories was quite effective. He died in 1933.
Sir Jadunath Sarkar
On 10 December 1870, Jadunath Sarker was born in the village of Karchmariya of Chatar Dighi union of Singra upazila. In 1891, he passed his BA in English Literature and History honors.
In 1892, he passed his first position in English in the first grade. He started his career as a postmaster for Ripon College in Calcutta and in 1930 he retired from service. He was the Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University for 5 years before retirement. The British government honored him with the CIE in 1926 and the knighthood in 1929. In 1936 and 1944, he got admission in Dhaka and Patna University. The title of the lect. On 19 May 1958 he died.
Saratkumar Roy
Saratkumar Rai was born in 1876 in the Dighapatiya royal family. His father was Raja Pramathnath Roy Bahadur's mother Rani Drabmoyi. He set up an agricultural farms on 300 bighas of land in Darampur Estate, named 'Rani Drumoyi Farm'. The sugar was produced by frying sugarcane in the farm. Due to no sugar mills in the region, the 'North Bengal Sugar Mill' was set up in Gopalpur in 1936.
The establishment of 'Varendra Suresh Samiti' and 'Varendra Museum' are the eternal achievements of his life. On April 12, 1946, he left the world.
