Natore Liberation War A glorious story of the history of war of heroes of Bangladesh. From the words and memories of the living and martyred freedom fighters, it is known that patriotic Natore people became eager to vote for Bangabandhu immediately after 27 November 1970. The MLA election was held on December 7, 1970, and on 17 December 1970. But despite the absolute majority being not given power, the people of other parts of the country, like Natore's people, have been subjected to intense masses. In fact, the outbreak of protest, movement and resistance began in early February / 1970. On 7th March Bangabandhu gave a historic speech. In the then Race Course ground, many of them heard the historic speech of Bangabandhu on 7th March, including the Honorable MP of Natore Babu Shankar Gobinda Chowdhury, Honorable MP Mr. Ashraful Islam, Honorable MNA Dr. Mobarak Hossain and Mr. Syed Motahar Hossain. This speech created mass uprising among the people of Natore and it gradually became increasingly intense. According to the instructions of Bangabandhu, the structure of the council started in Natore from 9th March. At first Bagatipara and later in Natore Sadar and its adjoining areas, many Sangram Parishads were formed. Hundreds of people have been processioning every day.

Although the village was protected by the hand of the police, women, men, old people, children suffered cruel persecution and oppression in the hands of looted attackers. Cows and buffaloes tied in the goose are not excluded from these. In order to save lives, some youths of the village got themselves caught in the bush and saved themselves. In the evening, the newly born child daughter, Bunusah Dala, was born in the village of Banpara, Father Pinos. Father took responsibility for the mission campus in the Convent. Earlier, in the area adjacent to the Mission, Sekililan, Kadimchilan, Waliya, Chandipur, Diarpara and even some people of Natore city took refuge in the Banpara Mission. In the meantime, some families of Dhala village did not go on to the mission, but with the help of some of the people of Haroa village of Haroya, they went towards India. Because of the constant rain, many people did not have the help of the passengers. After two days in the mission, on 3 May 1971 around 3pm, the Pakistani occupation forces surrounded the mission campus. Shortly before that, some Christian youths from Banpara area were arrested. On the request of Father Pinos and other Fathers, the hostage force left the Christian, but knowing the location of the Hindus inside the mission, including the office of the mission, the hostel searched and arrested 22 young people of Dhala village and 86 other youths and middle class men and also took some women to the truck. Father Pinos's re-request was neglected to protect all of them. At the same time, Sister Karmala took Major Sherwani's foot down and left many women in the end only after much humility. The Pak army killed 86 people detained in the evening on the side of the canal of Narad river at Fatangapara near Dattapara in Natore and killed them brutally. Among the detainees, Anil was shot dead in a miraculous way. The bodies were kept buried under the ground where there is a small monument standing on the side of the canal. Meanwhile, Father Pinos expressed his inability to keep the ashrams due to the threat and pressure of the Pak army. On suspicion, on May 3, at night around 10 pm, the miscreants lost their helpless husbands and returned to Manikpur again with their unmarried children and elderly ones. Then people of Manikpur expressed their sympathy with Juman Pramanik, Pachu Molla, Barek Fakir, Gafur Fakir, Azim Uddin, Afsar Ali. They take the food items and some clothes with the courage to save the fearsome people and keep them safe guard. Due to shelter and co-operation of the Dhalawasi, some Pak Attacks have pressurized Manikpur resident on the following day, that is, 4 May and again fears the Hindus returning.
